oh my god, anon. i wanted to tell it but i didn’t want to bore everyone but now i have an excuse to!!!! <3
okay so it was after they had finished playing and they all went offstage. we went over to the merch stand, where leanne and the drummer were helping sell the merch (they were both so sweet too!) and then we heard leanne say “alan should be here soon” so i was on the lookout, and then i saw him walking and starting clawing at my sister or something freaking out. there were a few guys talking so we waited, and as we waited i started to get all teary and one guy was laughing at me, and then ALL OF A SUDDEN we’re face to face and he’s smiling all big. and i’m crying and i go to hug him, and he’s like “wait! let me go around so we don’t have to hug with the table between us” so he comes around and we hug and i cry and then he’s like “oh, what happened to your hand?!” so i told him and he was like “…can i sign your cast?” and i let him and then my sister told him that he was my inspiration and stuff since i was unable to form words. then we got a picture together and i apologized for crying and he was like “no, this is why i make music. because of people like you” (i’ll never forget that. i swear)
and then we hugged again (he is such a hugger!) and said our goodbyes :[

reblogging myself because i met alan monday! i tried not to cry, but i couldn’t help myself. he signed my cast as you can see and said “this is why i make music. for people like you.”
he, and the others, were SO incredibly sweet and thankful. it was a life highlight.

hahahah, it’s all good! i’m not sure his exact height, but i’m 5’3 and he was just a litttle bit taller than me…5’5 is probably almost exact!
